Nigel and Pat welcome you to
Serenity Caravan Park, We are a predominately adult site, situated in the village of
Hinderwell on the A174, approximately 9 miles north of
Whitby and one mile from the pretty village of
Runswick Bay, just two miles from the fishing port of
Staithes with its historic link with Captain Cook.
The site extends to five acres in total being hidden away from the main road in the centre of the village.
The site has twenty electric hook up pitches for caravans and motor homes, Three of which are fully serviced, overlooking the open countryside. Also a separate area for camping, with five electric hook ups for tents/ trailer tents, and ample space for non electric tents.
The toilet, shower and laundry facilities are centrally located, with washer, drier, iron, microwave , fridge / freezer and pot washing, a new barbeque area has been added during 2007 situated near the wildlife pond.
We have two touring caravans available to hire, one of which was new for the 2007 season
The village has two pubs, the Badgers Hounds and the Brown Cow, A Post Office, Fish & Chip Shop, Hairdressers, Butchers, are all within easy walking distance.
The Cleveland Way with its bracing cliff top walk passes within half a mile from serenity,
Runswick Bay with its sheltered sandy beach is a twenty minute walk away.
A very good bus service passes by the site running between
Whitby and
Middlesbrough, perhaps a linear walk could be considered, Alternatively leave your car on site and enjoy the various picturesque walks on foot.
Calor gas is available from reception, also we provide a battery charging service.
